Affectionately known as Miss D. Devotis Lee runs Miss D Cafe and Catering, a staple restaurant in Westview neighborhood that purposely hires and trains young people and ex-offenders. She's famous for her pancakes.
JR Murphy - Joy and Reflect Gardens (Spring '16 Cohort)
JR is a accomplished urban farmer and community leader who runs Joy and Reflect gardens. He focuses on teaching all his customers about the fresh and exotic veggies they purchase. He's famous for his multiple differnt flavors of raw organic honey! When you visit make sure to ask him to take you on the honey tour.
Akua is the owner of Ashview Heights Bed and Breakfast a premier lodging destination for Atlanta University Center alumni, vacationing families and visiting professionals. Ashview Heights BnB offers a cozy home alternative to expensive hotels and is in walking distance to the future Beltline Westside trail .
Ron Shaw & Chaz Carter - Bando Beatz (Spring '16 cohort)
Bando Beatz is a production company based out of the Oakland City neighborhood in south west Atlanta. Since it's inception, Bando Beatz has worked with artist such as ILoveMakonnen, Rome Fortune, Trademark Da Skydyver, Lil Durk, Young Dolph, Key!, Juicy J, Curtis Williams, and more. They offer high quality production, mixing, mastering, and recording/party space! Their clients get full access to fresh, innovative ideas, a network of individuals who all work hard to obtain their goal!

Tyra and Delonte
Tyra and Delonte are cofounder of Black Beyond Borders. BBB aims to inspire and equip underrepresented college students with cross-cultural tools and networks to move beyond their borders with purpose. They build transcultural relationships between Argentine and U.S. students through hosting cultural exchange programs, documenting student travel, and providing cultural competency training to develop socially responsive leaders.
Jaya is the owner of Links by J. Kiere. A handmade jewelry brand that seeks to empower women of color. Links by J. Kiere incorporates chain designs to represent the bonds made from relationships among women.
Donte is a Co-Founder at the Village Micro Fund. He's a 2015 graduate of Morehouse College. Donte makes sure that businesses are translating what they learn in the classes to their business in real time, which means he wears many hats! He also leads the consulting function of the Village. Donte Interned in the Securities Division at Goldman Sachs and in the small business group at Google before the Village.
Robin is a cofounder of the Village Micro Fund. He's a budding community organizer and sits in the middle of finance and development. He is a rising senior at Morehouse College. Most recently he's interned in the Corporate Finance group at Apple in Cuperteno, Ca. Before Apple he was an intern in the real estate investment banking group at BMO Capital Markets.
Nathan is a Co-Founder of the Village Micro Fund. He focuses on fundraising, partnership development and supports the success of the entrepreneurs in the cohorts. He also attempts to pitch the concept every now and then. Before the Village Micro Fund, Nathan was a valuation analyst at a distressed debt private equity fund. Nate spent his summers at Goldman Sachs and is a graduate Morehouse College.
Scooter is the marketing genius that helps our small businesses better engage their existing and future customers. He's a passioniate marketer that's worked in strategy and content roles in the tech start up space at Yik Yak Jopwell and Curators. He's a cofounder of Water Wars Atlanta, a nonprofit that helps provide clean water to several regions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Taylor is the design and developer guru that helps our small businesses create a beautiful web presence, User Experience and much more that we're not sure how to describe. He is a developer and marketing associate at UberEats in the Atlanta and Miami Offices.
